Objectives

• Discuss critical technological bottlenecks in India for Cold-Chain operations, share worldwide experiences of use of Cold Chain technologies and their relevance to the Indian scenario, with special reference to scope for value addition in Fruits & Vegetable businesses
  
• Highlight existing policy initiatives and promotional schemes for Cold Chain sector by different departments and agencies at the Central and State levels
  
• Develop a concrete action plan consisting of a workable model for Public-Private Partnership and policy interventions
  
• Examine Research & Development and Human Capital needs for the development of Cold Chain Infrastructure; highlight the role of educational and research organisations and the need to learn from other successful experiences in other countries
  
• Highlight the need gaps in the Cold Chain for Fruits and Vegetables in the country and hence, business opportunities in different points of Chain
  
• Create a platform for Business Collaborations in setting-up facilities in integrated Cold-Chain as well as in area of Fruits & Vegetable trade;
  
• Create a platform for knowledge sharing through projection of innovative and cost effective technologies and display of relevant Cold Chain services and equipments.
